Do not let the sun set on your anger, do not give space to the Devil
– says the Apostle ...
The Devil does not have access to the soul. If the soul protects herself from the passions, she is transparent: the Devil cannot see her. But when the soul allows a passion and consents to it, she becomes dark. Then the Devil sees her and approaches quickly, and starts to govern her.
. . . the Devil presses upon him to rouse him to anger and surrounds him with a multitude of irritating things…
That guy who is not able to discern . . . is irritated - look, with how much arrogance he speaks to his wife and children – he lets himself be overcome by anger, allowing anger to overcome him, giving space to the Devil.
He who swiftly overcomes his anger . . . rejects the Devil as if he had given him a good punch right in the middle of his chest.
The above are excerpts from the Advent Announcement given by the Community Catechist.
So don't stay angry, give the Devil a Pacquiao punch!
